Since the blog is in dire need of an update and me, being a dutiful and responsible member of the Al-Taqua Youth, has decided to unleash upon you a few words of wisdom..right…. haha.
A few days ago I offered to write an entry for the blog. So it got me thinking, what should I write about? I was considering either a recap of the East Coast Outing that we had or my thoughts on how I feel to be a part of this dynamic group of young individuals. Since, there are pictures to basically summarise what went on that day, and my memory is a little fuzzy, I shall not write about it. Haha.
I must say when I first joined the class, I thought it was just going to be something I attend every Sunday to learn and not have any attachment to.
The first couple of weeks went on without much to talk about. I attended class and left for home on time; did not speak to anyone, basically just minding my own business and trying to stay awake (if you do know me enough, I'm not really a morning person…haha) As time went by, I slowly made friends (my first partners in crime: Hadi, Afro, Hafiz, Ridhwan). Things got really interesting after the Haflah day. Everyone sort of made the effort to get to know each other in greater depth. Msn addresses and friendster links got exchanged and new friendships were forged. Haflah had a great sigificance for me as I met someone who for me, became the long awaited light at the end of the dark, morbid tunnel I call my life. I shall not go into too much details with regards to this. Haha. This is as they say in the Police Force, "Restricted" information. Hehe.
Classes after the haflah seemed to have a little more zest than before. People started talking and the classes got noisier. Haha. The next event that made an impact on me was the Bbq held a few weeks back. I know by now I must sound like a broken record but yeah, I made more friends and started talking to even more people; mainly more of the girls (the bimbo squad, Adilla, Dallilah, Shaheedah and honourary member, Azilla). Wah cannot tahan Adilla's green ping pong ball joke. Haha.
Class now is uber enjoyable and I look forward to Sundays. Although I must admit, sometimes I feel old around you kids, thank you for accepting me and taking all my nonsense. Haha. And behalf of the Publicity Committee I humbly ask those of you with thoughts or experiences to share to please come forward to Amalina. Till the next time I post an entry, I bid you adieu. =D
